Car Booting!

Finally, I have got round to taking pics of all my camera finds at car boot sales recently! The most I paid was £2.50 and that was for the Helina 35X..I reckon that's pretty good going :) The cheapest was free, and that's the Polaroid Image Elite..it came with a lot of fancy equipment and was being used by the police until it came to me (legally of course!).

I have yet to try any of them out apart from the Fuji instax mini 7. This little delight was found by my Dad (he's awesome and shares my love for collecting cameras!) for £2 and it hadn't even been opened, there were still batteries and more excitingly, a film! Unfortunately, it went out of date in 2003 so only a couple of the pics have come out, but it's still fun and gives a slightly different effect to my newer instax :)

The Polaroid 10 is very bizzare, you have to pull a ring to get the picture out but if I find any film, I'll have a go!

I really need to get some film and try some of these out..I'll let you know how it goes :)

I'm hopefully going to another car boot Sunday, although I'm not sure I have room for any more cameras!

Guardian Angel Day

To try and get us all feeling a bit better about ourselves and showing how much we support one another, our welfare team came up with Guardian Angel Day.

We signed up our names, got put into a lucky dip and each of us was given another person to be their Guardian Angel for the day. Basically, we've just do something nice for that person, whether it's make them tea, give them a chocolate bar or do some of their work for them!

I decided (of course!) to make my person a cupcake with a little banner saying 'You're Fab!' I then found some instax photos from an out of date film that I got at a car boot recently. Some of the pics didn't come out, but rather than throw away, I made a little Guardian Angel photo/card to go with the cupcake :)

I think everyone finds the day a little cheesy but we're all secretly excited to give and receive Guardian Angel fun!

Cupcakes, Comics and Car Boots ♥

I finally made some cupcakes!

After banging on about it for so long and sampling many others, I finally got my cook on and whipped up a batch :)

I found these rather lovely coloured cases in Asda....

(I also ended up buying matching nail varnishes, but shhhhh!)

After baking some little cakes, I attempted to match up the colour of the icing with the case....and then covered with sprinkles, yum :)

I even got a bit creative with some more headband making. I ♥ the colour of this one, I even wore it out that night :)

This weekend was spent with friends and family. Saturday was a road trip and some comic book geekery with the best people ♥ before heading back for pizza, music anthems and youtube silliness! They even let me take lots of photos with my Fuji Instax Mini :)

Sunday was Mother's Day so I spent a lovely day hunting through a car boot sale with the family. My mum is quite the bargain hunter and made some fab purchases. I found a War of the Worlds LP which I almost couldn't bear to put back, but it was a little overpriced....maybe I'll be brave enough to haggle next time!

Point and Click

I've had a fantastic find today!

Whilst doing a clearout at work, I stumbled across a Polaroid 636 Close Up camera! I was most excited, and as it was about to be chucked, I rescued the poor thing and it is now pride of place in my home :)

Only problem is getting hold of some film, as it's a little pricey. But I've been desperate for a polaroid camera for ages (in fact, had an obsession with them when I was 15) and have been nosing around on ebay for a while, so seeing as it was free, I don't mind paying for film :)

Other exciting camera news...my brother (best ever) has got me a fuji instax for my birthday ♥ (1 more week to go!)

Looking forward to playing with this little doll :)

I'm known amongst my friends for always having my camera ready (they don't always love this!) and I can't help myself in taking pictures of people. I have to say, I'm not a great one for landscape photos....I prefer to point and click at people, especially when they pull silly faces or pose with a giant calculator ;)

I ♥ photos

And so begins my camera collection! I've been reading lots and looking at different examples of cameras on lots of blogs and the future 3 I have my eye on are:

Lomography Fisheye

Diana F+ 'Mr Pink'

Holga

I'm already super excited about showing you my photo experiments :)
