Guardian Angel Day

To try and get us all feeling a bit better about ourselves and showing how much we support one another, our welfare team came up with Guardian Angel Day.

We signed up our names, got put into a lucky dip and each of us was given another person to be their Guardian Angel for the day. Basically, we've just do something nice for that person, whether it's make them tea, give them a chocolate bar or do some of their work for them!

I decided (of course!) to make my person a cupcake with a little banner saying 'You're Fab!' I then found some instax photos from an out of date film that I got at a car boot recently. Some of the pics didn't come out, but rather than throw away, I made a little Guardian Angel photo/card to go with the cupcake :)

I think everyone finds the day a little cheesy but we're all secretly excited to give and receive Guardian Angel fun!

Maxi Dress

I want to wear maxi dresses every day this summer....which may be a problem as I only have two! But I'm seriously obsessed. They just look so darn summery and pretty :) I'm going to continue my hunt for more, but also thought I might have a go at making one myself...which will be interesting! I let you know how I get on, but here are some beautiful dresses to drool over ♥

Road Trip ♥

Last weekend I did a little road trip up to Cardiff for one of my favourite people's birthday :) I lived in Cardiff for 5 years and it's such a beautiful city, I love getting a chance to go back there even if it's not very often!

I had a fab weekend with the girls, including a visit to a really cute tea shop, Tea and Cake. It used to be a quirky shop with lots of gifts and retro things and they have turned half of it into a tea shop with amazing cake and a crazily wide selection of tea! All their cups are mix and match floral and their walls are covered in fairy lights. It was pretty much my idea of heaven ♥

In the tiny bathroom of this place was an awesome mirror display...

It loved it and have decided to try and recreate in my bedroom...amazingly the next day in TK Maxx I found these two lovely mirrors to start me off!

We then went for a wander around the charity shops for some bargains and I stumbled across these two blue glasses...perfect for tealights, flowers or wine!

For the birthday girls' evening, we went for a mexican (yum!) and then to Milgi. This is one of the best places in Cardiff to go for a cocktail, seriously amazing flavours and decoration for your drink! Inside is decorated with bunting and cute vintage finds, they display local artwork, have live music play and outside is a yurt filled with fairylights (can you see a theme...?), mirror balls, day beds and an eclectic assortment of chairs! There's also a garden area which turns into a vintage market on certain Sundays. It was jam packed when we were there but I managed to get a picture of the bunting!

It was a fab weekend, and probably my last until October. I already can't wait for the next road trip ♥

Summertime Planning

I'm getting pretty excited about Summer coming this way :) Easter was so lovely and it was great to get out to the park and enjoy picnics and ice creams! I've already started about all the things I want to do over the Summer....mostly I just want to be outside ♥

Makeover!

I decided to give the blog a little makeover...guess that's what Spring does to me! It's a work in progress, so bear with me :)

I'm also giving my bedroom a new look! When I first moved in I went with a black, red and white colour scheme, but it's been unbelievably difficult to even find duvet covers, let alone things for the walls. The problem is, my walls are white and as I'm in rented I kind of what to keep it that way! So warming up the room has been a challenge, therefore a new plan has been created!

I've decided to change the colour scheme to turquoise, pink and white :) This is very spring like, but should work far better with the room and what's out there!
