Summertime Planning

I'm getting pretty excited about Summer coming this way :) Easter was so lovely and it was great to get out to the park and enjoy picnics and ice creams! I've already started about all the things I want to do over the Summer....mostly I just want to be outside ♥

Makeover!

I decided to give the blog a little makeover...guess that's what Spring does to me! It's a work in progress, so bear with me :)

I'm also giving my bedroom a new look! When I first moved in I went with a black, red and white colour scheme, but it's been unbelievably difficult to even find duvet covers, let alone things for the walls. The problem is, my walls are white and as I'm in rented I kind of what to keep it that way! So warming up the room has been a challenge, therefore a new plan has been created!

I've decided to change the colour scheme to turquoise, pink and white :) This is very spring like, but should work far better with the room and what's out there!

I think this girl is pretty super...
I have just heard the new Kate Nash song and I'm excited for the album...I played her last one oh so many times! She wear the most beautiful dresses and I like a girl who brings tea and cake to a gig ♥

Cupcakes, Comics and Car Boots ♥

I finally made some cupcakes!

After banging on about it for so long and sampling many others, I finally got my cook on and whipped up a batch :)

I found these rather lovely coloured cases in Asda....

(I also ended up buying matching nail varnishes, but shhhhh!)

After baking some little cakes, I attempted to match up the colour of the icing with the case....and then covered with sprinkles, yum :)

I even got a bit creative with some more headband making. I ♥ the colour of this one, I even wore it out that night :)

This weekend was spent with friends and family. Saturday was a road trip and some comic book geekery with the best people ♥ before heading back for pizza, music anthems and youtube silliness! They even let me take lots of photos with my Fuji Instax Mini :)

Sunday was Mother's Day so I spent a lovely day hunting through a car boot sale with the family. My mum is quite the bargain hunter and made some fab purchases. I found a War of the Worlds LP which I almost couldn't bear to put back, but it was a little overpriced....maybe I'll be brave enough to haggle next time!

Spring Love ♥

I feel happier already :)

This week has been long and at times unpleasant, but the beautiful spring like weather has vastly improved it!

Last week we had nothing but rain, but I'm glad it got itself out the way, as this week has been bright and sunny, staying lighter every day. My favourite seasons are Autumn and then Spring, I love the clear blue skys with a bit of a chill in the air ♥

The fashions are also particulalry lovely this year, with ruffles, lace and muted pastels, all topped off with a vintage headband ;) My favourite combinations are nude, pale pink, cream and mint. I have yet to try (still can't let go of my obsession for everything nautical) but it's something to look forward to :) I think I'll make some spring headbands very soon!
